Offering these opportunities is an example of our commitment in 2018 to inform, train, and support agents, brokers –and even their auxiliary staff– to grow your business more than ever before. We’ve had several training events recently. If you missed them, here’s a brief overview of what you missed.
Ultimately the goal of our content is to share the best products, how they work, and how to get the right message out to the right audience! We are also hoping to train agents on different aspects of marketing, prospecting, and even best practices in business management. We’ve always strived to help agents in this way. But we want to take our efforts to the next level through continued webinars and additional training.
The Importance of Training and Career Development
Training is extremely valuable to individuals and businesses as a whole! It’s a fact. A recent poll showed that 68% of workers think training and development is the most important part of workplace strategy. Today, more than half the population of employed adults actively participate in professional training opportunities. There’s a reason we call it the Information Age!
When we use technology as an asset, there are so many opportunities to offer educational and informative content that many people can access at different times. It’s a more customized and inclusive approach. Whether it’s watching teaching videos shared on social media platforms, joining a Q&A during a live webinar, or downloading an e-book from a trusted industry leader, there are so many easy ways we can grow as individuals and professionals. Our Marketing Guide for the Independent Insurance Agent that we created last year is an example of this, too.
We recently had the following training and webinar mentioned below and want to go over a few things that we went over. The purpose of these events is to educate our agents across the nation and provide a broad overview of the topics to get their feet wet, guide them through the topic, and equip them to continue learning more about the subject. On February 20th, we held a training for selling Anthem Medicare. We know that selling Medicare can be a difficult market, so we provided an overview of Medicare and how to sell it.
On February 21st, we hosted a Medi-Share plans and products webinar. This webinar was focused on providing agents in Kentucky and Indiana the opportunity to offer different products to their clients who may be unhappy with Affordable Care Act (ACA) options. We discussed other solutions that will benefit their clients such as National General.
