Everything You Need For Effective Insurance Marketing

Marketing matters. When you’re an independent insurance agent, having a baseline knowledge of marketing can make a huge difference in your sales. This is true for every business owner in every industry. While word-of-mouth marketing is still incredibly effective, if it’s the only way people are finding out about your services, you could quickly fall behind.

Earlier this year we partnered with The Marketing Squad to create a series of webinars that cover the current major digital marketing trends and how insurance agents can use them to market their services and increase sales. The series, The Road Map to Effective Insurance Marketing, is up on our website –6 total webinar presentations– for you to download and use whenever you find the need for some tried and true marketing methods and inspiration.

If you missed them, below is a quick recap of the webinars with links to watch them. Once you download each webinar, you’ll receive an email with the free marketing tool that accompanies each topic.

Digital Marketing For Independent Insurance Agents

We created this webinar series in response to a survey we sent out a year ago where we heard from agents near and far. From the results of the survey, agents requested resources to effectively grow and manage their business through learning strategies around social media, lead generation, internal and external communication strategies, and more. All of these efforts should be based around your unique brand and your target audience, which brings us to the first webinar:

1) Choose Your Destination: Setting Goals and Learning Marketing Concepts

In our first webinar, you can expect to hear us define digital marketing strategies as well as your brand, your target audience, and how to set goals that you can reach. This is a great starting point for new and seasoned agents alike. You can’t begin to take action on goals until you determine what they are and flesh them out to understand the best approach to achieving them. You also have to understand some general marketing ideologies and how your brand fits into them. After you download this webinar, we’ll send you the exclusive Goal Setting sheet that accompanies it.

2) Fuel Up: Developing Campaigns and Attracting Attention

Once you’ve determined your destination and set your goals, it’s time to fuel up and begin your journey. Planned out marketing campaigns will help attract the right kind of attention from your target audience who will become strong leads. High quality content is currently one of the most powerful marketing tools to use in your marketing campaigns for attracting attention and generating leads. The tool you will receive after this webinar is a Campaign Planning Spreadsheet that will help your organize and execute specific marketing promotions that move you towards your goals.

3) Determine Your Route and Go: Engaging Social Media & Cultivating Community

Today, maintaining an online presence includes utilizing social media channels to provide valuable content to your clients and increase trust in your services. Forrester Research conducted a study that shows that “half of all Internet users ages 18 to 23, and 43% of users ages 24 to 32, used social platforms to find their way to a website.” As such, social media can and should be used to tap into a vast amount of potential customers.

Social media provides a unique opportunity to communicate and engage with your audience that no other platforms allow. In this webinar we discuss many aspects of integrating social media with your business. When you download this webinar, you’ll receive a Social Media Calendar that you can easily tailor to your needs.

4) Navigate through your Turns: Defining Your Target, Using Ads, & Reaching Different Generations

Communication is key to everything we do in the insurance industry. Agents have to understand customer’s needs to be able to provide the best services and convey the value of them. Understanding the nitty gritty details of all the services you provide is key to being able to communicate well. Along with all of that, agents have to be strategic in determining the right channel of communication, tone, timing, and more to optimize communication with certain demographics. It is a well known fact that millennials prefer different methods of communication than baby boomers and vice versa. The tool we provide with this webinar is a Generational Marketing Guide to help you understand communication best-practices among different generations.

5) Check Your Gauges: Tracking Leads and Closing Sales

The ultimate goal is to increase insurance sales, right? But closed deals don’t just appear out of thin air. Nurturing leads is crucial to converting them into sales. In this webinar, we discuss the ins and outs of customer relationship management and sales. Many examples come from our CEO, Matt McDevitt, and the experience of our own organization. With this webinar we provide a Sales Pipeline Tool that will help you understand the sales process and other best-practices.

6) Refuel, Reroute, and Resume: Establishing a Marketing Rhythm

In the last webinar of the series, we discuss some of the most frequently asked questions agents have about insurance marketing and insurance sales. After viewing the presentation, we leave you with a Sales & Marketing Tools Recommendation List.

You can find all the webinars in this series on our Resources page as well as other webinars, powerpoint slides, and our marketing guide. We are proud to provide valuable content like this to equip current and prospective agents like you with the basic knowledge and tools to sell confidently.
