On or after Sept. 1, 2016, UnitedHealthcare will be requiring additional information on the census in order to quote new business with 51-350 eligible employees (non-adjusted community rated) nationally.*
They are requiring member level data (employees and dependents) including first name, last name, date of birth and home ZIP code for quotes that do not provide claims experience. This additional information will allow underwriting to more accurately rate the business.
UHC previously implemented these changes to groups with employer situs defined in Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, Pennsylvania, River Valley and Utah and are now expanding across all markets.

*CA, CO, and VT define small business (adjusted community rated) as 1-100.
