Notice from Humana:
We wanted to make you aware of a change to small group eligibility, with respect to groups made up of family members.
Under federal guidance, when an employer group consists solely of owners and their family, any associated health plan is considered an individual plan, not a group plan. Therefore, Humana will no longer accept small groups made up of a husband and wife or any groups made up of family members. This change aligns with the policy for other carriers in the industry.
Because groups comprised of related individuals are not considered valid groups for the purpose of health insurance, please refer them to the individual market for coverage options.
