Attention Kentucky Agents: Per ACA provisions, small groups can no longer consist of husband/wife two-person groups. Husband/wife is considered a sole proprietorship under the ACA law and specifically does not qualify as a group. There must be a third taxed employee.
Other Carriers:
- UHC will also not write a husband/wife case.
- Humana states that the group must have one taxed employee to write a husband/wife case.
