We will be updating our census change threshold for KY ChamberAdvantage quoting, beginning with 6/1/22 effective dates.
The 20% threshold at the member level will remain in force for groups who are losing any membership. If a group adds a member (either employee or dependent) who was not originally quoted, this change will need to be reviewed by Underwriting. This does not necessarily mean rates will change, but Underwriting will review that member in case rates do need to be adjusted to accommodate the risk. There are two ways to accomplish this if you have a group who adds someone prior to your final submission:
- Re-quote the group online with the new member/members and submit to UW for an updated final quote before submitting the sold case. (This would be the best way to do it because if the member is healthy, it could help the rates)
- Have the new member complete an Individual Health Questionnaire and submit it with the sold submission. (UW will review and could possibly adjust rates)
CHAMBER RENEWAL UPDATE
Starting with 7/1/2022 effective KY ChamberAdvantage groups, Anthem will have two renewals months. New Chamber with business with a 7/1/22 – 12/1/22 effective date will now renew in October of 2023. This means that Anthem will have both a June and October renewal date for Chamber business.
CHAMBER PRODUCT DUES UPDATE
Please note, that starting with June 1, 2022 Chamber plans, the product dues of $4.00 per employee per month, will be billed monthly and not annually. This will be included on a separate invoice from Anthem each month in addition to the premium equivalent invoice.
