You may already be aware of the carry-over feature for members with our Dental Prime and Dental Complete plans. But did you know that we are one of only a handful of carriers offering a new dental carry-in feature? With this new feature, your clients may bring in maximum carry-over amounts from a previous dental carrier and keep balances already established.
Carry-over versus carry-in
Annual maximum carry-over: allows existing members (with less than $500 in claims a year) to carry over up to $250 each year they qualify. They can accumulate up to $1,000 in additional benefits. After they reach their annual maximum, members can use their extra carry-over amounts for any covered dental procedures (except orthodontia).
NEW annual maximum carry-in: extends this feature to groups that move to one of our plans with a rollover/carry-over feature from another carrier. This feature lets members carry-in up to $1,000 of their unused annual maximum benefits to Dental Prime and Dental Complete.
Who does this apply to?
– New Large Groups and National Accounts in all states
– Groups moving from Dental Blue to Dental Prime or Dental Complete (Large Group and National Accounts in all states)
– Groups with 100 eligible contracts or more
Groups must have our carry-over feature to be eligible for the new carry-in benefit. The dental maximum carry-in feature is a one-time event. No changes can be made once the process is submitted.
If you have any questions about the dental carry-over or carry-in features, contact your sales representative.
