In an effort for our agents and readers to get to know the “faces of AgentLink”, we embarked on a series that highlights our team member and their roles within the company. Today, we would like to introduce Heather Jenkins, one of our small group quoting and enrollment representatives. First, we want to share a little bit about Heather’s position here at AgentLink and then some personal bits about her that you may not have known.
A Day in the Life of a Small Group Representative
In her position as a small group quoting and enrollment representative, Heather’s main job role is to help brokers quote and sell small group health and ancillary policies. She has grown immensely since her start with us, as she started out as a temp in December 2000. We quickly saw her talent, hard work, and ability to learn quickly among our team and hired her on full-time in March 2001. She has been a part of our team ever since and we are honored to have had her serve our with us for almost two decades!
An important aspect of her work life is the people she interacts with everyday, aiming to help our clients achieve the best insurance policies available. She loves that she has been able to see some of her co-workers get married and have children since they started with AgentLink– it can truly feel like a family around here. Heather also has a deep appreciation and respect for the leadership team and a passion for the agents we support.
Get to Know Heather Outside of the Office
Heather is a Louisville native but moved around frequently as a child, having also lived in Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma. Two weeks after her start with us, she met her husband who she has been with for 18 years now. Her and her husband, Mike, have two children, ages 9 and 15. Her education has always continued throughout her time at work and she is currently taking online classes through Campbellsville University to obtain a Business Administration degree- which she has been in pursuit of for 20 years! We love her persistence. Way to go Heather!
In her free time, Heather volunteers at Southeast Christian Church as an Assistant Director in Tech and is the Cubmaster of Pack 333 in Mt Washington. A couple other randoms facts we’d love for you to know about Heather is that she loves the Spring season and all things Mexican food. Although Italian eats aren’t her go to, she has always wanted to travel to Italy and enjoy mountainside drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
