More of your clients in Kentucky may qualify for Medicare Supplements with Omaha Insurance Company. A new 12% household discount on MedSupp is now available. Additional information and downloads below:
-New discount requires policyholder to live with their spouse or another adult, aged 60 or older
-The spouse/partner does not have to be a policyholder
-Simplified eligibility requirements means more will qualify
-New 12% discount is for new business only
-Based on an app sign date of 7/1/2015 (new application must be used – see below)
-New household discount is not a new block of business, simply a change in rating methodology*
-Old and new household discount will be pooled for future rate adjustments
*Examples show the single rate increase, impact to Plan G rates, and demonstrates that the household discount rate is the same. Female, age 65, non-tobacco, in the lowest ZIP area
**Rate adjustment effective 7/1/15 on in-force business ONLY
When quoting, you must ask if the applicant qualifies before giving a quote. If they do, quote the household discount rate.
The producer MedSupp e-App will be updated on July 1, 2015; using the e-app will help to ensure the application is current and accurate.
