Kentucky Brokers: This update includes important information regarding the first month premium payment for Baptist Health Plan’s individual kynect plans. If you have clients that recently enrolled with Baptist Health Plan from kynect, Kentucky’s Health Insurance marketplace, please be aware of the following payment information:
Baptist Health Plan is working with kynect in order to make available a simple to use payment system that will allow members to pay for their first premium payment online. For new enrollees and for coverage to be effective, members must go to https://kynect.ky.gov/ in mid-December to make the first premium payment. Once a member has logged into their kynect account, members will be able to pay their first premium using a debit or credit card. Members may also pay their first premium by sending a check to Baptist Health Plan at PO Box 21973 Lexington, KY 40522.
It is a member’s responsibility to make the first premium payment within thirty (30) days of the plan effective date; otherwise, members will not have insurance coverage.
Please be aware that the new electronic payment system allowing members to make their first premium payment will be available on December 15th, 2015 and Baptist Health Plan Select members will be able to process their first payment at that time by visiting https://kynect.ky.gov/.
Important! Please note that members have additional options regarding subsequent premium payments including:
- Visit BaptistHealthPlan.comto enroll in the electronic payment process (EFT).
- Mailing a check to Baptist Health Plan at:

- Pay by debit/credit card by contacting our Finance Department via email at finance@baptisthhealthplan.com. A finance specialist will call you back to obtain the required information for payment.
Baptist Health Plan is working to provide an online option for ongoing premium payments using a debit or credit card which will be available in the coming months. We will provide more information in this regard as soon as possible.
