Groups 2-99 will be moved into community rates (ACA compliant plans) after 10/1/16.
Groups with a plan year deductible are not advised to do an early renewal as it can be a potential ERISA violation and make moving accumulators tough. Anthem’s plan is to also line up the ancillary renewal dates to coincide with the medical renewal.
Groups that renewed 1st and 2nd quarter will be seeing information coming from your account rep early August. Anthem will be producing a 10/1/15 renewal for the groups to review. This will be considered another renewal process and if you want to change the contract date to 10/1/15 they would need to sign off on the renewal and an early renewal request form. If the group wants to make a plan change they are able to do so on the current platform. Please remember than any plan changes done in 2016 will be to the ACA community rated options.
Groups that renew in the 3rd quarter of 2015 are getting renewals for both the current renewal date and a 10/1/15 renewal date so agents can meet and renew the group just once.
