Meet our Business Development Rep., Melanie Karem

AgentLink has proudly been serving the Louisville area and beyond for the last 25 years. Growing exponentially in the last two and a half decades in the size of our internal team has led to the growth of the agents we are able to serve. For all of this, we are very grateful. Not only do we want to continue to increase the ways we serve agents, but we love growing a team of passionate and skilled team members. So we are embarking on a series of blogs to introduce you to may of those internal team members at AgentLink. The ones who serve day in and day out in the field, on the phone, acting as back office support to many independent agents, and moving mountains so that agents and brokers can grow their company and their book of business. We would like to introduce you to our Business Development Representative, Melanie Karem. (She’s the one in the rain coat in the fun photo featured here!)

An Inside Look at the Life of our Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Leader, Melanie has the pleasure of meeting with many of our brokers in order to maintain successful relationships with them. She recruits new brokers and helps educate them on new quoting tools, processes, and procedures to ensure business operations run smoothly.

Melanie enjoys working for AgentLink because of the people she gets to be around, both internally and externally. She appreciates the amazing co-workers she has here and the brokers she is able to work with across the country. These people make it a fun environment to work in.

Melanie describes AgentLink’s superior customer service as the company’s top strength. In fact, when we had an all-team lunch recently that happened to include a photo booth, guess what she wrote on the comment board that she held up in her photo with a few of her team mates? Her sign read “How can we serve you today?”

“What makes our service so great is the type of relationships we build with our brokers. Our brokers are our customers and partners. When they succeed, we succeed. By partnering with AgentLink, brokers are able to launch their agencies into new markets and we are there to support them every step of the way,” Melanie said.

Previously, Melanie was a broker herself and owned her own agency. She understands the broker’s perspective and how important timely commissions, back-office support, and trouble-shooting assistance is for their job. This knowledge and experience led to her position at AgentLink.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys eating her favorite pizza, Herb Chicken Mediterranean from Papa Murphy’s, which she can almost eat by herself in one sitting! She usually does so while cheering on one of her home state sports teams in Oregon. An interesting fact she wanted to share about herself is that she worked on staff at Disney World in her twenties which is why she is a bit of a Disney fanatic today.

We hope you’ve enjoyed meeting our Business Development Representative, Melanie Karem. If you haven’t had the pleasure of talking with her yet, you will probably get that chance soon as she’s very interactive on the job. If you are one of our team members who works alongside her, you know what to get her next Christmas (cough cough… anything Disney) Also, everyone stay tuned to meet our next highlighted team member.
